I get emotional at every wedding and I knew I had to keep it together for this one especially because if the flood gates opened I wasn’t sure I’d be able to stop.
It may have taken 10 years to get to this special day but my gosh I think I can talk for everyone and say it was well worth the wait. It is quite obvious that they are one of those couples that were simply meant to be with each other. The wedding was held on the 14th December within the grounds of Woodhouse Manor on a beautiful summers day. Every aspect of this wedding was amazing from the styling details to the experience that was planned for their guests.
At the start day you could feel the nervous tension in the air and as soon Meaghan and Tysen set eyes on each other the floodgates opened. They both laughed and cried at the same time barely making it through their vows. But it didn’t stop here, in fact it escalated. I noticed a little habit they would share throughout the day. Every time one of them would become overwhelmed with strong emotions they would nod at one another and then the magic would happen! The magic being a combination of nervous laughter and tears rolled into one that they weren’t afraid to hide from us and in turn gave us a peek into their real love for each other.
When you look at someone you are reminded of the emotions they evoke in you and the memories you’ve created with them. During the portraits I got to see these emotions come to life between the couple and I thank my lucky stars I got to be apart of it. Just after sunset the photographer gave Meaghan & Tysen a simple instruction to take a single frame of each other as he knew he “would never be able to truly capture each of them in the way that they see each other”. As soon as I heard Joshua say this I immediately got goosebumps as I knew how much this moment would mean to them. It is still to this date one of the most raw honest moments I have witnessed.
